Mr Mlamli Booi is the  Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of SENTECH. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Z-Coms. He also worked as a Transmission Engineer for TELKOM and M-Net Limited and later joined Orbicom (Pty) Ltd as a Technology Manager. He subsequently worked as a Councillor for the Regulation of Broadcasting Industry in South Africa after being appointed by President Nelson Mandela to the Council of the Independent Broadcasting Authority.

He’s a Professional Electrical Engineer registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and a Chartered Director certified by the Institute of Directors. He has more than thirty years of experience in the ICT sector, at different levels. His experience covers areas such as business leadership, engineering, policy, regulatory, strategy and management.

He holds an MSc degree in Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a postgraduate diploma in Project Management. He also holds a Diploma in Company Direction from GIMT. He also has a certificate in Corporate Innovation from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Institute of Directors (IoD) South Africa.
