Pierre Jacobs has more than 20 years consultation and operational experience in the IT Security industry. He is the Head of Cybersecurity Operations and Compliance at CyberAntix. He was instrumental in the building of three MSSP SOCs and one organisational SOC. Together with his team they have built and launched the CyberAntix MSSP SOC where the focus is on automation. He holds a MSc with specialisation in Information Security from Rhodes and a Ph.D in Computer Science from the University of Johannesburg.
He wrote numerous peer-reviewed articles on Cybersecurity and contributed a Chapter called "Cyber Security Centres for Threat Detection and Mitigation" in the book "Cyber Security and Threats: Concepts, Methodologies, Tools, and Applications" He is also Editor of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27/WG 4 - Guidelines on Security Operations Centres (SOC)
